At the 2025 National Day Rally, Prime Minister Lawrence Wong announced that the Community Development Councils (CDCs) will lead a new initiative to help Singaporeans find job opportunities closer to home. Leveraging their strong networks with local merchants, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) and community partners, the CDCs are well-placed to bridge the last-mile connection between jobseekers and employers.
Launched on 23 October 2025, Jobs Nearby @ CDC supports the national effort to help Singaporeans seize employment opportunities amid an evolving economic landscape.
